Directly after the denouement of the Second World War people began to think that the world’s main rules are plain and consistent . Both general politics and social relations were relying on the ideas of gain , positive changes , confidence in the rational , understanding , technical advancement , and the ability to reason any activity from a rational standpoint . Nevertheless , beginning from the second half of the 60’s, the world began to degrade and now , 40 years after , we dwell in a different type of actuality .
We easily note those changes which are given us by new technology, but we almost never comprehend the fact that there are some ideas standing behind those solutions . The essence of the expected change was initially noticed by those people, who as a rule of thumb lived ahead of their time – philosophers and authors. Among the many authors whose books have served for amusement , there have been a few who have given the planet a new picture of the future . They have better than others other people created and worded authentic suggestions and have finally created formed a fresh intellectual and emotional analysis of the future. They have noted problems in the mundane of our lives and have shed light onto a array of problems, which were existing without being noted . They have aided us to think of the new issues , and sent us new aspirations .
These were the authors who have shaped the mindset of the entire generation, which has taken the blow of dramatic change; change, which was seen as chaos at the dawn of the 21 first century. One of the most important feature of their writing is that in mostly they have risen the audience attention in books and written works. from this angle one of the most exciting success stories is that of a well known writer John Cheever.
The achievement of Joan Rowling can be called special as she has become the first writer in the world to earn $1 billion by writing fairytales. She is currently spending a huge part of her profit on charity, battling poverty and illness. The idea of the book was invented while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first decided to bring out her book, she has given her 1500 pounds together with a loving advice — to look for a stable job. He was hesitant of the fact that the young writer would be able to make money of writing. Joann has demonstrated the opposite - having produced a number of amazing fairytales, she has motivated the so-called non-reading generation get back to reading books.
This work cannot name and more or less accurately list all writers who have made their contribution to the today’s literature. They have been working and putting ideas exactly into the thoughts of the millions, and thus were influencing the future. Thus, as we can see, these writers were not creating for entertainment only, but they were also playing a significant part in shaping the culture and the views of a society of the 20th century.
